4/7/13 ** Love the cross-genre love stories that Ilona Andrews keeps turning out...pure fluff, but enjoyable for spring break. As I read this one though, I kept confusing plot elements of On the Edge
with plot elements in this book. I can see the formula that the authors are using. Not annoying enough to keep me from finishing the series, but enough that I don't see myself re-reading or purchasing the books.
Also, if you start the 2nd and 3rd books in the series because you want more of the main characters from the first book, you'll be disappointed. Same world, but this book explores the life of one of the secondary characters from the first book. Makes sense, we already know that the two leads in book one live happily every after...there'd be no conflict in writing about them.
