8/10/2011 ** The very first read-aloud for the new school year. Perhaps a little intense, with the refugee resettlement, but went over well. My 4th graders were really interested in ways to represent their own names in a rebus form.
8/2010 I read this aloud to my 4th grade class to stimulate a discussion on the importance of names and respecting each other. It worked well in parallel with The Name Jar.
